Description:
Active Shutter Progressive 3D Method The display alternately shows images for the left and right eyes. The left and right lenses of the eyewear open and close in sync with this display timing to show separate images to the left and right eyes. By repeating this action at high speed, the brain perceives 3D images. And because this method displays FULL HD 3D images just as they are, both eyes receive 3D images in high, full-HD quality. 2,500 Focused Field Drive This original Panasonic technology detects image movements like the human eye, and optimizes the drive accordingly. By achieving instantaneously powerful light emission rather than finely divided emission, it reduces the afterimages that cause blurring. As a result, fast movement is reproduced with excellent clarity.

Best set I've ever owned
Strengths: extremely deep blacks and a wealth of picture settings, web options and apps are easy to navigate, Motion is extremely quick and smooth
Weakness: There is no yet
I Returned 6 led tv's over the past 3 months. All had problems with the picture. I finally decided to try Plasma and boy I'm glad I did. No backlight bleeding, blooming or screen uniformity issues. Panny makes a great set with extremely deep blacks and a wealth of picture settings. The web options and apps are easy to navigate. I also like the stand because you can adjust the tilt...

Best HD Cinema TV vs the Competition
This TV is providing my family with the best HD cinema and sports action in 2D, 2D to 3D conversion, and 3D at the best price point. I have owned several other panasonic TV's because of their reliablility. Save yourself a lot of time searching. If you are buying a TV at this price point buy it now and your family won't be disapointed with either the quality of the HD or the savings in the price...

Quite impressed - good bang for buck
I've only had this TV for a couple of weeks but so far I am impressed with its quality, performance, and features. I am a fan of Plasma over LCD / LED as it seems to be more natural looking. To my eyes LCD / LED's are too 'digital' while plasma seems to have a smoother display. Out of the box you will want to work with some of the default picture settings based on where you actually place the TV....

Panasonic TC-P55ST50
THE GOOD: The affordable Panasonic TC-PST50 series exhibited outstanding overall picture quality, characterized by exceedingly deep black levels with great shadow detail, accurate colors, and solid bright-room performance. Unlike LCDs, as a plasma it has superb off-angle and uniformity characteristics. The styling is attractive and the feature set well-chosen, including excellent onscreen help...
